It always stops for your explicit approval before anything is scheduled or published — that never changes. What it does before that gate depends on the environment: with only text access it drafts the page copy, links, pricing selection, media checklist, and investor answers for you to enter yourself. With browser or computer-use access and a Product Hunt session you're already signed into, it can enter those same fields directly on the live page.
Can it actually operate Product Hunt itself, or only write the copy?
Both, depending on the environment. It has no Product Hunt API integration and no credential handling of its own — direct entry works only through the host agent's own browser or computer-use access, acting inside a Product Hunt session you're already signed into. This mode was developed and field-tested with OpenAI Codex running with computer-use access.
Where does it run?
It ships as two SKILL.md files: one for Claude Code, and one for ChatGPT and OpenAI Codex, which share the same open SKILL.md standard.
Will it reuse copy from an old Product Hunt listing?
No. It inspects your current live product — website, pricing, and official accounts — as the source of truth, and will not carry forward outdated claims from a prior entry.
Does it know whether I need a new launch or a profile update?
It checks for an existing Product Hunt entry first, and recommends a new launch only when the product or positioning has materially changed. Ordinary edits are treated as a profile update, and historic content is never removed without your explicit approval.
